It's finally fall! I absolutely love fall. College football, leaves changing, cool brisk air, pumpkins- these are all of the things that I love about fall. We are going to have a great week just simply because it is fall!
Last week, we worked hard learning about types of sentences, place value, ch/sh/th/wh sounds, reality vs. fantasy, and habitats. This week we will continue working hard and learning. We will focus on finding nouns, sequencing stories that we've read, using a hundreds chart to find patterns, focus on r controlled vowels (ar/or/ore), and learn about landforms. We will work on our selection and amazing words by reading and understanding their meanings. We will continue to work towards being better writers with good sentence writing. Our sentences will be complete, contain 5 or more words, and have a subject other than I. We will test over Topic 4 in math and end the week with apple math. The week will be busy!
Don't forget to send an apple by Thursday. Watch for apple pictures this weekend on our blog.
Lastly, I wanted to give everyone a heads up on our first and only field trip this year. We will go to Travelers' Rest Plantation on November 11th. Watch for a note to come home after fall break.
Let's have a great week!
Mrs. Walker
